Actors involved in the feminization of tech and regular participants of Women & Girls In Tech events, discover the first contributors to join the Mega Women & Girls in Tech initiative for the 2021 edition of VivaTech.
Before the 2021 Women & Girl in Tech edition, the special VivaTech Mega #WoGiTech” will take place from June 16 to June 19.
The goal remains the same: proving that women have a role to play in the digital field and that tech jobs are great opportunities for them. The operating method, which consists in workshops and intergenerational discussions, hasn’t changed either since the first two editions and Sandrine Delage’s blog Mère fille.
The only thing that has changed for this special #WoGiTech event, marking VivaTech 2021, is ambition. To show the diversity of women profiles in tech, more than 1,000 women from 3 generations will be virtually gathered during this week, and will be able to meet in person on the 19th of June:
- professionals and entrepreneurs already established in the digital field;
- the “next generation”, getting formed in schools and specialized training centers and;
- women who have already been introduced to the field and want to discover the full potential of digital technologies.
The program is diversified: coding training, AI and Blockchain workshops, discussions between professionals, students and young ladies, mini-conferences concerning gender in tech, and many other surprises. As usual, all this wouldn’t be possible without the help of #WoGiTech’s partners and co-founders BNP Paribas, Digital Ladies & Allies and Simplon, and particularly without our forerunner partners who are joining the movement:
The JFD, especially the Fondation Magaret rewarded these three women:
Louise Lesueur, Margaret Junior Europe 2021, would be pleased to participate in VivaTech activities and may attend the event on Saturday under presentation of a PCR test: https://youtu.be/qd7inHetcic
Xaviera Kowo, Margaret Junior Afrique 2021, is also up for an online intervention live from Yaoundé (Cameroun): https://youtu.be/EFhdvIwllfc
